STEP 1
Lay the pineapple on its side and carefully cut off the top about 1/2 inch down
Do the same with the bottom of the pineapple
STEP 2
Place the pineapple upright and carefully slice the skin off going top to bottom
FOR RINGS
Lay the pineapple on its side and carefully cut it into ½ inch thick rings
FOR RINGS
Remove the core from each round using a small paring knife or a small, round cookie cutter.
FOR SPEARS
Keeping the pineapple upright, cut the entire fruit down the middle lengthwise
FOR SPEARS
Cut each half in half lengthwise again, then remove the thick core from each wedge at an angle
FOR SPEARS
Cut each wedge in half lengthwise once more and serve
FOR CHUNKS
Once you have rings or spears, cut each one into 1/2 - 1 inch chunks
Use fresh pineapple in your favorite sweet & savory recipes, or freeze it to enjoy later!
