Healthy Blueberry Greek Yogurt Muffins made with whole wheat flour, greek yogurt, naturally sweetened with maple syrup and just a touch of heart healthy avocado oil (or coconut oil!).

Happy Monday. How was your weekend? MINE WAS INCREDIBLE! We had such an amazing workout + brunch at the Under Armour Women’s Chicago Brand House. I’ll have a full recap for you very soon, but just a HUGE shoutout to everyone who came to the event. You guys are literally the best & sweetest humans.

Now for your Monday… I feel as though there’s no better solution for a start to the week other than muffins.

You know me. The queen of the muffs.

WAIT A SECOND. NO.

Let’s stick with the muffin woman. Sounds much better.

Roasted sweet potato arugula salad is a perfect lunch or appetizer. Topped with a light honey mustard yogurt dressing with a hint of gorgeous turmeric color.

How are we all feeling after the long weekend? Relaxed and rejuvenated?

Ready for another 3 day weekend? *me too*

Yesterday I went on a 3 mile run because I woke up with a massive wine hangover and needed some oxygen pumped to my brain. What? Just being honest over here… the best way to cure a hangover is a little bit of exercise.

I’m backkkkkkk… and dang, what a trip! The weather was B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L! Each day the blue sky sparkled without a cloud in sight while parasailers floated nearby. We played tennis, got massages, laid by the beach, swam in the infinity pool and drank WAY too many margaritas.

Of course, I’d have more photos to show you but my phone was stolen. Which was a little bit of a bummer, but then I said hello to the new iPhone 7. This little mama is happy.

Banana bread pancakes that are perfectly sweet, fluffy and nutritious. Made with whole wheat flour and dairy free too!

Safe to say, I’m learning everything there is about being a first-time homeowner. Including when your oven breaks and you have to call the repair man to fix it. Who knew home repairs could be so ridiculously expensive?

Now that the oven is finally working again, I can get back to meal prep from the Healthy Glow Co. — that means these banana bread pancakes are on the menu this week.

Slow Cooker Taco Lentil Soup that’s both vegan and gluten free. You’ll love this easy meal packed with plant-based protein!

Currently writing to you from Detroit! I’ve been here since Friday hanging with my bestie Sarah while we bake, photograph, shop, drink Kombucha beer and jam out to Christmas music. I leave later today to get back into the groove of being at home for a while, working and recovering from turkey overload.

’Tis the season for Mariah Carey Christmas music on repeat while I sit in my pajamas and refuse to leave the house (besides grocery shopping and hitting up the gym).

Rainbow veggies roasted to perfection with garlic, olive oil and turmeric, then drizzled with a sweet and spicy chipotle honey yogurt dressing. Throw in some quinoa or enjoy with grilled chicken or salmon as a main dish!

Let’s talk about this whole Thanksgiving situation coming up. What are you making and what are your family recipe staples? I want to know because I’m always looking to add something new and exciting to the menu.

This year I plan on making my sweet potato casserole, cranberry orange sauce, some sort of cherry pie (OMG YES), buttery biscuits, a spinach pear salad and roasted butternut squash. Last year we tried Heartbeet Kitchen’s honey carrots, which were SO INSANELY GOOD I nearly ate them all myself.

Today I head to Israel for a little over a week. I land in Tel Aviv then head to Jerusalem later this week. How crazy is that? Blogging has been such a wonderful and unique career that’s taken me places I’ve never even dreamed I’d see in my lifetime. I’m beyond grateful for your readership throughout the years and how I’m able to connect with many of you beyond just the recipes here.

Welcome to this week’s Wellness Wednesday. Today is a special one because not only am I sharing my personal story about digestion issues, but also a tummy soothing smoothie recipe and why I’m loving probiotics these days — and why you should too!

Let’s rewind back to 2011 to when my digestion was a complete disaster. I believe that stress, an eating disorder and lack of proper nutrition in my diet all played a big factor in destroying the good bacteria in my stomach. This led to stomach aches, major bloating, constipation (I said it), joint pain and the inability to fight off infections in my body.
