Happy Friday! What’s on the weekend agenda? Sarah and I are headed to Scottsdale, AZ to celebrate one year of our friendship (because we’re nerds), but also to work on an upcoming travel guide for all of you!
We’re beyond excited to soak up that sunshine and vitamin D. If you have any recommendations of places we absolutely have to see, please let me know!
In other news, I’ve been ridiculously obsessed with smoothie bowls for breakfast. They make me feel like I’m having a treat and taste like creamy, smooth ice cream. My favorite version is probably strawberry pineapple or acai strawberry banana (pictured above). If you haven’t had acai bowls before, they are an absolute MUST try!!!
Usually I buy the superfruit packs from Whole Foods and adore the unsweetened version as I like to add other fruits. The photo above is one of the bowls I made last week after a sweaty workout. I added a little Aloha protein powder and it was beyond refreshing. Typically I top my bowls with nut butter, extra bananas and something crunchy (like chia and nuts).
Just had to share my little acai smoothie bowl obsession with you. I’d love to hear if you’ve ever tried making your own.
Now let’s just get to the weekend favorites!
