  • 1 cup uncooked quinoa
  • 2 cups water or broth of choice

  1. Rinse your quinoa: place 1 cup quinoa in a fine mesh strainer and rinse it a few times under cool water.
  2. Add quinoa and water or broth to a pot and bring to a boil. Once boiling, reduce heat to low, cover, and let simmer for exactly 15 minutes.

  3. After 15 minutes, remove the pot from heat and let stand covered for another 5-10 minutes.
  4. Next, fluff quinoa with a fork and serve. Makes about 3 cups of cooked quinoa.

Recipe Notes

To store: Let the quinoa cool completely before transferring it to an airtight container. Then simply store it in the refrigerator for up to 3-5 days.

To freeze: simply let it cool completely and then place it in airtight, freezer-friendly bags or containers. To reheat it you'll let it thaw in the refrigerator or at room temp before microwaving it.
