Easy slow cooker applesauce made with fresh apples, cozy cinnamon, and the perfect touch of sweetness. Skip the store-bought version and make this homemade applesauce for everything from breakfasts and snacks for kiddos to baked goods!
Add all ingredients to a slow cooker and place on high for 3 to 4 hours or low for 6 to 8 hours until the apples are fork tender.
Next, mix with a wire whisk (or potato masher) to mash the apples until you get your perfect consistency.
Let the applesauce cool completely then place in an airtight container in the fridge. Makes 3 to 4 cups.
Notes
I love using Honeycrisp apples for this recipe, but a mix of sweeter apples will work just fine. This recipe will keep well for a week in the fridge, and can also be frozen for up to 3 months.
