2023 is coming to an end and what a year it has been. Between cookbook writing, running Ambitious Kitchen, and being a mama to my three amazing boys, I definitely had my hands full all year long. We ended up publishing fewer brand new recipes this year and instead focused on reviving some vintage AK posts (aka super old recipes that I wanted to bring back to life) and sharing more quick and easy apps, cocktails, treats, etc.
As you probably noticed, there was no shortage of deliciousness to go around! Every year I love looking back at everything that went up on the blog and picking out my personal favorites. These are my top 11 recipes from the year, because you know I couldn’t settle on just 10. These recipes are ones that I made for my family over and over because we all loved them SO much.
Take a scroll, and leave a comment to let me know which ones were your favs! And remember to check out our reader favorite recipes from the year. Cheers to 2023 and let’s get ready for an amazing new year. Much love to all of you!

Trying the Copycat Portillo’s Chopped Salad was a revelation. I can’t believe I can now recreate this iconic salad at home, it’s a culinary triumph that has left me thoroughly impressed and satisfied.
I’m so excited to try the beautiful dishes. I am tired of fine dining and flavorless foods. I am ambitious and try to create wholesome meals at home. I have 5 children and I am concerned about the quality of food they are eating.
In the words of Will Ferrell: the meatloaf! I’m remedy for it!!!
