These were absolutely delightful!! My whole family inhaled them and my daughter gave it three aggressive yums after her first bite. I used the tea bag method you mentioned and they turned out perfectly. I wish I could post a picture of them. Will be trying the brown butter chocolate chips cookies next.

I hope this does not sound too silly. I was wondering if you leave the dough as balls or do you lightly press them down a bit before baking? I am not sure if there is significant spread in the oven. Thank you

    • replied:

No need to press them down!

Hi! Im excited to try this recipe however I would like to use unsalted butter. How much salt would you recommend to add to the recipe?

    • replied:

Hi! I would add another 1/4 teaspoon salt (so 1/2 teaspoon total).

can I use cream cheese instead of yogurt or sour cream?

    • replied:

The yogurt/sour cream reacts with the baking soda to give these a chewy texture — cream cheese won’t provide that acidity (and will be too thick for the dough). Feel free to use dairy-free yogurt or sour cream, though!

These cookies are great! I used coconut oil, bobs 1:1 flour, and culina vanilla yogurt. For the frosting I just did a drizzled a powdered sugar glaze. My husband ( who isn’t gf/df like me) said these were good and to never buy anything from the store again and to just make these. I will be making them again

Amazing! I’m glad those swaps worked out well!

Great recipe! I used coconut oil, bobs 1:1 flour and culina vanilla yogurt. I froze the dough overnight and they turned out great. My husband said these were better than anything I’ve bought in the store. I will be making these again.

These are one of my new favorite cookies! Love almost everything Chai and these did not disappoint! Instead of golden sugar on top, I used a Cocoa Chai mixture on top. Easy to make and oh so yummy!

These were delightful! The vanilla bean frosting is perfect with the chai spices. These pair perfectly with a cup of tea. I’ve made and loved a lot of your cookie recipes but my husband voted these his second favorite after your OG brown butter sea salt chocolates chip cookies – high praise indeed!

Amazing! So glad you both enjoyed!

Absolutely in love with these cookies! I’m usually not a fan of sugar cookies because they are too sweet but these are just perfect. The spices make them so delish. Adding to my favorites. All the neighbors asked for the recipe.
