If you ask me, there’s truly no better combo than chocolate and peanut butter. Both incredible on their own, but together? Magic starts to happen.

What type of peanut butter is best for baking?

Peanut butter can tend to dry out your baked goods in the oven, so it’s important to use the right kind!

All of my chocolate peanut butter dessert recipes use natural peanut butter, which is made up of just peanuts and salt. Some brands we grew up on, like JIF, Smucker’s, and Skippy, have a much thicker consistency and are filled with a lot of extra ingredients like sugar and oil.

Choose your chocolate

One of my favorite things about peanut butter and chocolate together? Peanut butter truly goes well with ANY type of chocolate you like! In these recipes, have fun experimenting with:

• Milk chocolate
• Semi-sweet chocolate
• Dark chocolate (I like at least 60% dark)
• Or even white chocolate

Plus, feel free to use chips or chop up a chocolate bar whenever the recipe calls for either.

Keep these desserts dairy-free

Chocolate chips and bars typically have milk in them, so be sure to use dairy-free chocolate chips in these recipes if you need to keep them dairy-free.
