Obsessed with these!! I’m a nursing mom and my baby has a bunch of food intolerances (dairy, soy, wheat, eggs, peanut butter, etc) so I made these with bobs red mill 1:1 gluten free flour, a flax egg, and enjoy life chocolate chips. They are 10/10!! We ate them all in 3 days and I immediately made another batch. Definitely my fav muffins!

These are delicious and so easy! I added a bit of extra cinnamon bc I love it and I used sugar free chocolate chips. The mashed bananas gives these the perfect hint of sweetness. Yum!

Hi! Love your recipes! Quick question can I use oat flour and APF

    • replied:

Hi! I wouldn’t recommend using oat flour here, as the texture will be much different. These pumpkin muffins use oat flour and almond flour!

Perfect blend of fall and neutral muffin! Love that it’s not overly pumpkin for those that aren’t a big fan. Fall and year round must!

I followed the recipe, and they came
    Out really dense

    • replied:

So strange! Did you weigh your ingredients? Was there a chance you overmixed the batter at all?

  • says:

I just made these. They are delicious and healthy!

    • replied:

      So glad you enjoyed!

  • says:

These were SOOO yummy!! Kinda foolproof too lol I accidently added 1/3 instead of 1/4 cup oil so I just left out the milk and they turned out great! I also made it vegan and gluten free by replacing the egg with a flax egg (1 tbsp flax meal with 3 tbsp water, let sit for 10 minutes) and used oat flour. With many gluten free flours, you can just measure the flour by weight instead of volume to easily substitute, so I did 177ish grams (not quite 2 cups) of oat flour and it was delicious! Just make sure the batter sits for 10 minutes before putting them in the oven so the oat has enough time to soak up the liquid. The mix ins of 3 tbsp hemp seeds and 1/2 cup walnuts were a huge win. So nutrient dense! every ingredient feels so good in my body and keeps me full. Thanks for another great muffin recipe! 💛

I’ve eaten 2 of these everyday!! Ive made them several times and always enjoy them year round! I used 1/4 cup honey and they still are sweet enough bc of the chocolate chips!

These are just really good muffins. They are easy to make, I always have all the ingredients (I use all purpose flour for all of it instead of the white whole wheat) and most importantly my kids love them. And I feel good about giving these muffins to them for breakfast. I freeze them and they come out great either left on the counter overnight or by defrosting them.

    • replied:

Amazing! So glad they’re a hit with the kiddos 🙂

Made these last week and loved them- the perfect treat when you want something sweet, but nourishing at the same time. I had some pecans as well, so I threw those in for a little crunch. I will definitely be making these again.

Woo! I love hearing that 🙂

  • says:

Wondering if I could sub applesauce for bananas and if so, how much? Thanks!

    • replied:

I’d do 3/4 cup applesauce! 🙂 let me know how they come out!

These muffins were SOOOOO GOOD! I was trying to use up bananas and I know Monique has great recipes, so we gave these a try. Hot out of the oven, we devoured a few immediately. Will keep this recipe for sure.

Love these! I reduced the maple syrup to 1/4 cup and added an extra banana to increase the sweetness. My family loves these, great fall baking.

YUM! Not too much pumpkin flavor which would have deterred my husband. The kids loved helping sprinkle extra chocolate chips on top. Thanks for yet another delicious sweet (but not too sweet) treat recipe!

These are absolutely delicious! My two year old actually ate a whole muffin when normally with my healthy homemade baked goods she will delicately extract the chocolate chips before smooshing the rest all over the table and floor. They rose beautifully in the oven and have a lovely texture. I followed the recipe exactly. This one is a keeper- thanks Monique!

Saw the video on TikTok and made these right away because I had brown bananas that needed to be used. Such a yummy fall treat that have just a subtle sweetness. They turned out great. I live at 6000 ft elevation and they rose perfectly which doesn’t happen often when I bake. Will deff be making again!

    • replied:

Made these today, and Monique, you’ve done it again! Amazing. I love your recipes and your cookbook. Thank you!

    • replied:

So happy you loved these (and the cookbook!) Lots of great fall eats 🙂

  • says:

Can you cut down on the maple syrup or will it throw off the texture?

    • replied:

I think you could get away with reducing it by a couple of tablespoons, but let me know if you give a try!

I had run out of eggs, so I made them with a flax egg and they worked out perfectly. Great recipe, super easy, and I love the more subtle pumpkin taste.

I’ve made these muffins twice now and they are so deliciously moist and delicious. I am gluten free so I have used Namaste gluten free flour for the 1.5 cups of flour in this. Thank you for a recipe that I will actually keep!

Can’t wait to try these! Would they be runny without the flax meal or do you have a substitution? Thank you!!

    • replied:

The flaxseed meal helps hold these together, so feel free to try these muffins and just add chocolate chips if you’d like!

I didn’t have any bananas so I used a whole can of pumpkin, and they turned out delicious! Great taste & texture!

These are delicious and came out perfectly! I only had 1 banana so I used an extra 1/3 cup of pumpkin puree to make up the difference. The texture was great – fluffy and not too dense. My daughter was concerned about the flaxseed in the recipe but the taste did not come through at all and I think she forgot it was in there. The whole family loved them. I will make these again!
