I made you a savory, spicy feta dip blended up to creamy perfection. Get your crackers and veggies ready for this perfect, easy snack or appetizer.
This spicy roasted red pepper feta dip is inspired by traditional Greek htipiti, and WOW, the flavors are out-of-this-world delicious. For dinners lately, I’ve been obsessed with creating hearty bowls with protein, veggies, a yummy grain, and a unique sauce to pull it all together. This dip is actually the base of my super satisfying, Spiced Mediterranean Chicken Bowls!
Add this to your snack rotation, serve it up as an easy appetizer the next time you’re hosting, or spread it on a sandwich or wrap to give it extra flavor. Anyway you enjoy this dip or spread, I guarantee you’ll LOVE it.

Ingredients in this spicy red pepper feta dip
As I mentioned, this creamy dip requires just 6 simple ingredients, but it’s absolutely bursting with flavor. Here’s what you’ll need:
- Feta: I love using feta cheese as the base for dip recipes because it adds plenty of salty, savory flavor.
- Roasted red peppers: the key ingredient? A jar of roasted red bell peppers! We’re not roasting our own bell pepper for this recipe. You can typically find these jars near the artichokes, olives, etc. Feel free to use regular or fire-roasted.
- Garlic: you’ll need a clove of fresh garlic for savory flavor.
- Lemon juice: add the perfect amount of brightness with a little lemon juice or red wine vinegar.
- Olive oil: a touch of olive oil helps blend everything together so it’s nice and smooth.
- Red pepper flakes: add a delicious kick of heat with red pepper flakes! See below for more ways to up the spice level.

Can I make it dairy-free?
The feta cheese base is really what makes this dip, but you can try subbing dairy-free feta crumbles if you can find them! I haven’t tested it, so I’m not 100% certain on the flavor, but let me know in the comments if you do.

Choose your spice level
If you don’t have red pepper flakes, try blending in a jalapeño or a spicy red pepper to give the dip a lovely kick of heat!
Alternatively, if you’re serving kiddos or are sensitive to spice, simply omit the red pepper flakes.

- Process the dip on high for about 1 minute, scraping down the sides with a little spatula as needed, until it’s nice and creamy.
- Serve it in shallow bowls with anything your heart desires! See below for delicious ideas.

Just made this and it’s so tasty with the perfect amount of kick!
Absolutely! Such a great snack 🙂
Really good and easy to make. I used it as a spread on a sandwich.
Love that! Glad you enjoyed 🙂
So easy, and a great crowd pleaser!!!
I’m so glad!
total winner. easy to make and has a great spicy kick to it! i added a touch more lemon juice.
So good! Glad you loved it!
Excited to try this. Do you have a recommended brand of feta? I’ve found that there can be a large difference in taste between brands
I usually get the Athena block in brine!
This is so delicious! It reminds me of a side dish I would always get at my favorite greek spot in Boston. I’ve made this 3x already, most recently for a party and people demolished it. Can’t wait to make this on repeat more often!
Love that! Such a great app, snack, or side 🙂
OMG so good!! I didn’t read the recipe first and ended up roasting my own red peppers! But well worth it and the dip turned out amazing. Will be making this over and over.
Perfect!! So glad you loved it!
Amazing dip!
Glad you loved it!
I used Violife dairy free feta and it turned out great!
Perfect!!
SO. GOOD. Followed the recipe directly. The perfect pop to my Greek bowls!
Absolutely!!
Nice flavour and pretty colour. I did find it a bit runny even though I drained the feta and peppers well. Not sure how to make it a bit thicker?
Hmmm perhaps your feta was a little watery? If anything you could pat the feta and peppers dry with a paper towel next time!
Quick & easy app, elevates any cheese board. I use calabrian peppers for a spicier kick. Thanks Monique!
Absolutely! Such a fun dip!
I love this dip soooo much!!! It has become a weekly staple. I love it with the turmeric ground meat bowl, as you suggest. But also as a dip, added to any other bowls I make, on top of eggs, with crackers, all the things.
I also use a dairy free feta (Follow Your Heart brand) and it tastes great in it, too!
Thank you for this!
So good! And glad to hear that the dairy free feta works out well 🙂
This sounds delicious and I’m going to use it as a pasta sauce!
That’s perfect!!
I never leave comments on recipes but this is just fantastic. Will definitely be making it again!
So glad you enjoyed!
