I love, love, love your smoothie recipes, and I have tried most of them. Looking forward to trying this tumeric one as well. No matter the recipe, I ALWAYS add tumeric, as it is very healthful. However, by itself, it is not well absorbed by the body. Adding a sprinkle or two of black pepper boosts its absorbancy and heightens the efficiency of tumeric’s healthful benefits. I would recommend adding a few sprinkles of pepper to the recipe. You do not taste either the tumeric or the black pepper, but they boost the nutritional profile. Another thing I always add to your wonderful smoothie recipes is protein powder (which you often recommend), as it truly keeps me feeling full a lot longer. Thanks so much for all these great recipes, Monique. I am very happy to keep trying them all out!!

So tasty ! Made it with almond milk instead of coconut milk, since I didn’t have any : it was really good. Thanks !

This is my favorite all time smoothie. I live in Florida and this is as tropical as it gets in the summer heat. I used lite coconut milk and then used some extra unflavored almond milk to help smooth it out. I love the tartness added by the lemon juice and zest. It really takes this smoothie to the next level. I also froze some in mason jar and freeze bags. Can’t wait to have some thawed out for an easy morning breakfast. Thank you Monique!

So happy to hear that, Jessica! One of my favs during the hotter months 🙂 Great idea to freeze it for later!

This is so delicious!!! I am in love with this smoothie! I added the spinach and the ginger too and I am very pleased. I added 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper to mine to increase turmeric benefits too. Thank you so much for sharing this recipe. This will likely be my go to as it is great for me to have as many anti-inflammatory foods and drinks as possible!

I’m allergic to mango. What would you suggest as a substitute? Peaches, maybe?

    • replied:

Peaches or extra pineapple would be perfect!

Do you use canned coconut milk or the kind you buy in the cold milk section?

Amazing smoothie!!! One if my new favorites. Followed exact recipe and the lemon zest really makes it! Would add another 1/2 cup coconut milk, as my blender needed more liquid to start.

    • replied:

Thanks for the note about the liquid, and good call to add more! I’m so glad you enjoyed it 🙂

I made this exactly to the recipe, then added 1 cup of spinach and two scoops of vanilla collagen protein powder, and this smoothie is wonderful! Delicious, uses fruits (mango, pineapple) that I don’t regularly eat, and tastes like a yummy glass full of health.
