I’m back with the second part of my amazing trip to Pensacola. If you missed the first part, you can check it out here!
I’m quite excited to share with you this version because it contains some of my favorite places to EAT! Honestly, I can’t tell you how much I was surprised by the incredible food in Pensacola. Everything from seafood and steak to bread pudding and pastries. Holy YUM.
After your first night in Pensacola, you might not be that hungry because your belly was STUFFED so my best advice is to eat brunch rather than an early breakfast. George Artisan Bakery is a favorite and loaded with major goodies.
Pictured above is the Berry French Toast & Truffle Omelette from George. Oh and we can’t forget the almond croissant! George offers a wide array of croissant flavors, so grab your favorite and chow down. They’re buttery, flaky perfection.
The inside of the bakery itself is wonderful and relaxed. It wasn’t too busy either, which is nice when you don’t feel like waiting forever for a little breakfast.

After you get done with brunch, head over to Palafox Market to do some shopping. Palafox Market is located on Palafox Street in downtown Pensacola and runs every Saturday from 9am-2pm. You’ll find a wide array of goodies, handmade jewelry, fresh produce, antiques and freshly baked bread.
It’s truly amazing and I loved seeing all the local vendors out supporting each other. Here are some of my favorite finds from the market:
Fresh, homemade salsa!
Gluten Free granola in various flavors!
Homemade jewelryÂ
Three friends playing instruments at the market
After checking out the market and purchasing a few products, we headed to EggFest. EggFest is a local event that takes place at the Blue Wahoos Stadium each year. We were able to sample food from over 75 chefs! Everything from waffle wrapped sausages drenched in maple syrup to pizza made on the grill. What a delicious experience it was!
They were even grilling cookies! My favorite.
Here’s a picture of me and the Big Green Egg!
It was unique because each team had a special device or way of cooking their food. Attendees were able to ‘vote’ on their favorites by giving money to each food station. The winner was determined by whoever had the most amount of money at the end of the event.
The grilled sausages with waffles were one of my favorites.
One chef made his own pizza grill to fit into the Big Green Egg.
Surprisingly, the pizza was delicious and the crust was exceptional. Tony and I were both surprised!
Overall the Big Green Egg was a smashing success. We recommend checking it if you find yourself in Pensacola during the event. Otherwise, be sure to check out Visit Pensacola’s site for other events happening during your visit. They’re always, always fun and entertaining!
Park in downtown Pensacola
After a day of eating, take a walk through the park in Pensacola and check out some more shops before heading back to your hotel.
If you end up getting hungry later, I recommend trying out Pot Roast and Pinot. They have a wonderful wine selection and their food is unique. Plus you can’t go wrong when it has nearly a 5-star review from everyone!
Day 3:
On your last day in Pensacola, you’ll want a good brunch. I recommend the Hilton near the beach. They have made to order omelettes, eggs, french toast and pancakes. You can nosh light on fruit and yogurt or go full in with all the carbs. Up to you!
A little bit of everything at the Hilton Brunch.
After the Hilton, I recommend having some beach time! Because you’re on the Gulf after all.
The beach is absolutely beautiful and was surprisingly warm during this time of month. The sand is pure white and soft enough to go barefoot. Walking or jogging is highly recommended!
The water is crystal clear and I’m told that some days you are able to spot dolphins.
If you’re into water sports or fishing, there’s a place near the pier where you’re able to rent equipment. You can also try out snorkeling and scuba diving. While we were walking on the beach, we stumbled upon a surfing competition and watched for a while. Next time I’m in Pensacola, I might have to give surfing a try again.
If you can’t make it to the beach after breakfast, I recommend checking it out during sunset. It’s unbelievably gorgeous.
Next on our itinerary was checking out the Three Tenors concert held at the Blue Wahoos stadium. FUN!!!
Three Tenors in Concert
I was blown away by the cool events in Pensacola. And best of all, this concert was completely FREE!
Last but not least, check out Red Fish Blue Fish. They have one of the best outdoor seating areas around and offer a place to relax, enjoy a bite to eat and unwind from your incredible weekend.
Tony and I watched a little Sunday football, then relaxed outside with a drink in hand.
Of course if you still feel like you might need a sweet treat before you hop on a plane back home, you MUST check out Beach Pops! Beach Pops is an all natural, organic frozen treat shoppe with amazing popsicles and ice creams. I had the chunky monkey dairy free popsicle and Tony had the salted caramel. They were AMAZING. Next time I’m trying strawberry for sure.
Anyway that’s all for my trip guide to Pensacola! I hope that it inspires you to take a little weekend vacation by the beach, especially now that it’s getting cold outside.

I don’t know if you travel a lot but if you ever take a trip to the Tampa area in Florida I am currently doing a monthly pop up restaurant in Dunedin, Florida and would love to have a fellow food blogger come check it out!
