Whew! The weekend is here and THANK GOODNESS. As I write this, I’m sitting alone on my couch blasting James Bay and reflecting on what an insane week it’s been. Literally a week ago we didn’t think we were going to be moving at all, then BOOM I see a house I adore (Tony did too), we checked it out, made an offer and it was ACCEPTED.
I can hardly believe it. We’ll have a home together! And it’s our dream home!
Still, I’m stressed and so alone time feels pretty wonderful at the moment. Milly’s here too, cuddling next to me and licking her adorable tiny paws.
So in summary, that was my week. I also managed to get a few recipes done for the blog! Like the burger above.
This weekend we have NO PLANS well except that we plan to put everything we own on Craig’s List so that we can start fresh and new. And clean our apartment. And start packing. And probably a million other things…

Congrats on the new house! As a person who has moved almost 20 times since graduating high school, here’s my best tip for moving. Get some Rubbermaid bins and pack all of your breakables in there wrapped in extra clothes and linens so that you don’t have to pack both things. Also, only bring into the house one bin at a time after all of the furniture is placed. That makes unpacking far less hectic! We moved into an 1800 sq ft house and had the whole thing painted, unpacked, and decorated in 3 days with my method.
