There isn’t anything I don’t love about the month of July. Fireworks. Hot, steamy weather. Patio season in full force. Cocktails. Amazing produce. Really good BBQs. Sunset walks. Less than six months til my birthday.
I actually may have described the perfect month.
Guess how we’re starting it? With a mini vacation to Playa del Carmen, Mexico! Not a work trip, just pure relaxation with my love. We leave tomorrow morning and can’t wait to eat, drink and sink our toes into the warm white sand.
Don’t get me wrong, when we are home, we LOVE Chicago summers. The other night we made lemon marinated chicken and homemade hot jamaican jerk sweet potato wedges. DELISH.

July is definitely the best! My favorite is sitting by a campfire and making s’mores. Definitely agree about asking people if they’ve lost weight, or commenting on someones weight in general. Loved the article on dealing with negative emotions too

I totally agree with you about the weight loss thing. It’s such a fine line between a compliment and an insult. SOOO jealous you’re going to Mexico, but have some guac and margaritas for me! Have an amazing time with Tony! <3 I know Millie will miss ya.
