Whew! The weekend is here and THANK GOODNESS. As I write this, I’m sitting alone on my couch blasting James Bay and reflecting on what an insane week it’s been. Literally a week ago we didn’t think we were going to be moving at all, then BOOM I see a house I adore (Tony did too), we checked it out, made an offer and it was ACCEPTED.
I can hardly believe it. We’ll have a home together! And it’s our dream home!
Still, I’m stressed and so alone time feels pretty wonderful at the moment. Milly’s here too, cuddling next to me and licking her adorable tiny paws.
So in summary, that was my week. I also managed to get a few recipes done for the blog! Like the burger above.
This weekend we have NO PLANS well except that we plan to put everything we own on Craig’s List so that we can start fresh and new. And clean our apartment. And start packing. And probably a million other things…
Anyway, here are my favs from this week. Hope you love!
These wonderful flourless dark chocolate raspberry oatmeal cookies.
This amazing boho blouse. Casual date night top!
Really want to try this pilates workout.
The new Girl on the Train trailer. Did you read the book?!
Use this instead of butter for your corn on the cob. Sounds epic.
Currently looking for an excuse to wear this dress.
How to brew your own kombucha. Have you done it before?
Savory risotto oatmeal?! Hell yes. Putting it on my weekly menu.
These amazing honeymoon photos. Also, how to take your own photos!
This delicious iced matcha latte.
Healthy almond butter & jelly muffins! Nom, nom.
Would love if you followed AK on:

Congrats on the new house! As a person who has moved almost 20 times since graduating high school, here’s my best tip for moving. Get some Rubbermaid bins and pack all of your breakables in there wrapped in extra clothes and linens so that you don’t have to pack both things. Also, only bring into the house one bin at a time after all of the furniture is placed. That makes unpacking far less hectic! We moved into an 1800 sq ft house and had the whole thing painted, unpacked, and decorated in 3 days with my method.
THank you — this is how my Mom does it!
Congrats on the new house! Good luck getting all packed up and enjoy making the new place your own! 🙂
Congratulations on the new house–I’m so excited for you! Anyways, I totally love your weekend favorites too! Those almond butter and jelly muffins are calling my name…
Congrats! Hope you post pics. Is this a chicken burger? Can’t find the recipe.
I was wondering the same thing. Here it is, I think. http://www.ambitiouskitchen.com/2016/07/healthy-chicken-burgers-spinach-basil-pesto/
Hi Monique! That is wonderful about your new house! My husband and I are in the process of completely renovating our entire house. It’s stressful, expensive and a little scary but, at the same time, it’s so great to have your own home. You are going to love it! Congratulations!
Thank you so much!!!
Congrats! Congrats! I’m so excited for y’all! You’re going to love making this new house your home. Can’t wait to see pics! xoxo
