I shared my Homemade Slow Cooker Applesauce on the blog last week, and I’ve LOVED seeing you all make it in your own homes! Unless your kiddos are eating it all day every day (I mean, why not?), you might be wondering what else you can do with your homemade applesauce.
As always, I got you! I rounded up over 15 recipes using applesauce that make the perfect easy breakfasts, snacks, and treats. There’s nothing better than being able to transform one snack into a totally new one (especially when trying to feed picky littles).
I broke these up into muffins, breads, oatmeal, pancakes, and cakes so that you can choose your own applesauce adventure. Make a few, freeze them for later, and enjoy a nourishing breakfast or snack any week!
Why bake with applesauce?
I love making recipes with applesauce because not only is it delicious, but it also adds:
- Extra moisture, so that you don’t have to use as much oil in the recipe
- Fiber, antioxidants, and vitamins A & C
- A natural sweetness and apple flavor, which is great for fall baking
You can absolutely use your favorite store-bought applesauce in any of these recipes, but I encourage you to try out my homemade applesauce as a fun, easy option!
