Hi there! How are you doing on this fine Friday? Got your cup of coffee ready for some wonderful weekend favorites ahead?!
Sidenote: I really just write ‘fine friday’? Clearly need help.
This week went by quickly. Lee came over on Wednesday, we did a workout in the morning at Crosstown Fitness, then somehow magically managed to test and photograph 10 recipes (including some fun toasts) for the Healthy Glow. Co. We’ve had an overwhelmingly wonderful response to our Healthy Glow Guide (especially the meals) and I completely understand why.
Not only are the recipes approachable, nutritious, easy to make and man-approved, but they also help you to save time, money and calories. It’s basically all the hard work of meal planning and grocery lists laid out for you all in one simple guide. So if you love my recipes, then I know you’ll love the guide. And yes, treats and baked goods are included. Let me know if you have any specific questions in the comments below. Or join our FB group to check out what people are saying.
What else? Well we are in the middle of trying to figure out where in the heck to get married. We literally can’t decide. Part of me wants to do a destination wedding somewhere amazing because I don’t know if I can justify spending that much money (Chicago is expensive!). We want our celebration to be about our values and our love for one another, but we also want to be able to celebrate with friends and family. It’s a tough choice.
So far, we’ve checked out Gallery 1028 (love), Ovation and soon Bridgeport Art Center. They’re all unique in their own way. Wahhhhh, tough choices. Or we could just get married in Australia (seriously up for consideration).
Next week we have some fun things happening for you: We’ll be doing a FB LIVE in partnership with Almond Breeze Almondmilk on Wednesday at 7pm CST. Be sure to tune in!
And soon, we have our trip to AZ! Thanks for all of your recommendations. We’ve decided to do some hiking in Sedona and rented a cabin near a National Park there. No wi-fi — and I can’t wait!
Alright, enough chatting, I’ve got some fabulous things happening in my weekend favorites:
Loving these on the rise wellness trends happening.
These little chocolate oat bites have me swooning.
Here are some of the best travel apps to download. What are your favs?
Very obsessed with this artwork. Need a piece for my home ASAP
The ultimate de-stress latte. And bonus that it’s so pretty.
This cake is unreal.
LOVING this butternut squash turkey chili. Might have to make it this weekend.
Will be shopping for my wedding dress — and can’t wait to check out this boutique.
It’s unreal how obsessed I am with this jumpsuit.
Also this beautiful dress. Ugh can Spring be here already?
Would love if you signed up for my emails. We send out a fun newsletter every Sunday!
Okay that’s all I’ve got for you. Enjoy the weekend xoxo!

I am sure you will pick the perfect place to get married. So excited for you! Can’t wait to see you in a few weeks! Thanks for featuring our cake! xo
My son and his wife had a small (60 people) destination wedding in Lake Tahoe in September. We are from Gurnee, just up the road from you! Anyway it was absolutely gorgeous on the patio of the Edgewood Country Club with the beautiful lake in the background. Great hiking before the wedding day too!
Those are some stunning venues — do y’all know what month you’re planning to get married?
I, too, have been eyeing A & Be Bridal Shop — such gorgeous dresses.
Ahhhh!!!! Wedding planning is so fun and tough at the same time! My advice is to go with your gut. We had an amazing wedding day with all of our friends and family, which I wouldn’t trade for the world, BUT in the middle of planning there were quite a few times I wished we had just eloped. haha.
And that butternut turkey chili is to die for! Hope you get to try it.
I highly recommend a destination wedding! My husband and I got married in Puerto Vallarta and loved every second of it! We’re from Chicago too….we checked out the glesner house, salvage one & galleria marchetti. All gorgeous! Try swift & sons too!
you should check out southwest Michigan. Journeyman Distillery has an awesome space! not far from you guys, but a beautiful area. So, still a little destination style but without the plane ticket. You could even get married on the beach- beaches are very pretty on that side of the lake. my husband and I got married in st joseph and had our reception (around 75 people) at bread+bar in benton harbor. was perfect.
