How was your first week of 2016? Mine is off to a rocky start. I have to admit to you guys that I’m feeling very a little indecisive in various areas of my life, especially with my career and blogging. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE making recipes for you but my heart is leading me somewhere else besides just blogging. I want to inspire. I want to learn more. I want to teach you how to be healthy! Whatever the case, I’ve got some big decisions to make soon and thankfully I have Netflix to distract me until then.
Lately, we’ve been really into Making a Murderer (obviously?) and also The Vikings on the History Channel. If you haven’t watched either, then you absolutely must check them out.
Madeira Beach, Florida
Hmmm what else is new? We just got back from a family vacation in Florida and I’m craving some alone time like no other. I’m incredibly independent, so it’s important for me to be able to have that or I get SUPER crabby. And if you saw me in a neck brace via Snapchat last weekend — don’t worry, I’m perfectly fine! We got into a car accident and I immediately tweaked my neck, but all is good now.
This weekend we’re planning on hanging around and having a date night in on Saturday. Nothing sounds better.
Alright, let’s get to my weekly favorites!
This amazing Europe hiking trails bucket list is everywhere I want to be.
The healthy taco salad of my dreams.
This memoir is next on my reading list.
Making a healthy greek-inspired meal next week.
MAJOR carrot cake craving lately. Must conquer it.
10 questions to ask about Making a Murderer on Netflix. THAT SHOW.
These spicy veggie burgers look INSANE.
Soon there will be no more of these in your face wash.
Just purchased these running shoes and they are SO dang comfy and light.
Addicting cherry chocolate granola bars for breakfast please.
If you’re on your smoothie kick, here are 21 healthy recipes to try.

Eeek I’m glad to hear you’re alright! So scary! And good luck on your decision. I know you’ll make the best choice. 🙂
If you’re interested in finding out more about how to help those out there with their health, you should look into getting certified as a personal trainer and then wellness coach. Wellness coaching is a great way to learn about behavior change and how to help others in that way. Check out ACE or NETA or another NCCA accredited organization for what that all entails! Best wishes on your journey!
OK, of COURSE we both like making a murderer. Alex and I watched the whole thing in 24 hours, no joke.
Gosh! We just finished Making a Murderer last night… I’m so conflicted!!
I am live in MN and love that you are such an inspiring blogger; I hope you continue even if it is just once in a while.
Oh. My. Goodness. I can’t wait to eat that taco salad!!!
I’ve been having a carrot cake craving too! I just love carrots and that delicious, spiced cake so much!
That snap was pretty freaky but glad you’re okay!
I think whatever it is that’s calling you, you should just DO IT. I have a feeling you’ll be successful at whatever you put your mind to.
Also, can’t wait for your interview with Jess Lively. I love her podcast and it will be awesome to hear you on it! 🙂
I have to agree, my year is off to a rocky start at well.. I’m acknowledging that I need to take some time to “transition” into the new year.
I see in Sarah’s comments that you’ll be on the Lively Show! I love her podcast, can’t wait to hear your interview!
Making A Murder! Don’t even get me started
If you want to delve more into health and wellness, fitness, nutrition, etc.may I strongly suggest checking out the following people and their podcasts: Ben Greenfield (http://www.bengreenfieldfitness.com/) and Dr. Rhonda Patrick (foundmyfitness.com) Their info can be a bit over-the-head sometimes but stick with it. They, along with others like them (Barbell Shrugged, Onnit, MobilityWOD.com, etc.) are well beyond the food pyramid and light yoga stretches into what your body is really all about and what it needs.
