I think i may have over baked bc mine were more cake like vs brownie. They were still good for healthy brownies! Question… can you freeze these?

    • replied:

Try underbaking slightly next time! They’ll also get fudgier over time 🙂 And yes, you can freeze them!

Greetings from Sydney Australia Monique, I just wanted to say thank you so much for this delicious recipe! I made it this morning for the very first time as per your instructions. The only small difference was instead of the chocolate drizzle I chose to drizzle it with tahini. The combination of tahini, chocolate and roast pumpkin purée was delicious!😊

    • replied:

Perfect! So happy to hear that 🙂

WOW! These came out sooooo good. I followed everything except the coconut flour, I used 1/2 cup + 1 tablespoon of rice flour and baked them for 35 min! It came out PERFECT. Thank you for sharing the recipe.

    • replied:

I’m glad that swap worked out well! Perfect dessert!

Very yummy and healthy for brownies! Thanks for sharing! This won’t necessary be my go-to brownie recipe, but 5 stars nonetheless 🙂

Very moist and full of chocolate flavor. Not too sweet, just right, I did not alter anything and they turned out great! I would make again for sure!

I was looking for something healthy and chocolatey to make for dessert and these brownies exceeded my expectations. SO FUDGY but not too sweet. This is going to be a go-to brownie recipe in our house for sure.

I am sure these will taste delicious but I was wondering if you had any recommendations for turning these into cupcakes/muffins?

    • replied:

Great idea! I think you should just be able to bake them in a muffin tin, just be sure to grease it well or use liners! And the paleo chocolate frosting from this cake would be amazing 🙂

SO SO GOOD. Fudgy, chocolatey, with just a hint of pumpkin spice. A great recipe any time of year!

  • says:

I’m excited to try these! Could I use regular flour or white whole wheat instead of almond? Also, if I don’t have pumpkin, could I use puréed sweet potato? Thank you!

    • replied:

I wouldn’t recommend swapping the flours in here as the texture will change a lot, but feel free to use pureed sweet potato!

I made these brownies today as needed to finish my coconut flour stock. They turned out amazing!!! I added more cinnamon and some crushed pecans and walnuts. Definitely trying rest of your recipes.

Love it! Glad you enjoyed 🙂

These were delicious! Fudgy and the perfect sweetness.
I used 2 flax eggs and the only issue I had was that they didn’t stay together very well.
Next time I’ll try with chia or regular eggs!
Thanks so much for the yummy recipe!

    • replied:

Noted on the flax eggs! Let me know how they go the second time around.

Best Paleo brownies I’ve ever had! They were soft and moist, not overly dry like many Paleo desserts tend to be! I doubled the topping and spread it all over – delicious!

    • replied:

      Amazing! I’m so glad 🙂

I just tried them this morning, with a few modifications: I used packets of stevia instead of the Maple Syrup, 1/2 tsp Pumpkin Pie Spice instead of Cinnamon+All Spice, 2 tsp Baking Powder instead of the Powder + Soda, some extra Cocoa, and dropped the chocolate chips. They were absolutely delicious. I like my brownies rich and dark, and these hit the spot.

One question though. The batter was more on the drier side, and not as gooey/liquidy I expected. Did I get something wrong?

    • replied:

Hi Haylee! Glad you enjoyed with those swaps. The extra cocoa and leaving out the maple syrup is likely what caused the texture to be drier.

  • says:

Love cooking these healthy brownies for a delicious fall treat.

These turned out excellent! The drizzle on top makes them look swish too 🙂

I like your site, but the jumping videos that cover up your content without request are really annoying!

  • says:

I actually found these not to taste dessert like at all and I don’t have a crazy sweet tooth so I wouldn’t recommend using the less sweet option. Other than that, these are delish!

    • replied:

Glad you enjoyed the regular version!

      • replied:

Made them again and subbed 2% yogurt for the pumpkin- came out so good!! How do I add this recipie to my Pinterest from this site?

        • replied:

Perfect! Hover your mouse over the image and click the black, circular “pin” button in the upper right corner 🙂

This is the healthiest and most delicious brownie recipe that I’ve found that doesn’t give me a crash after eating them. I’ve made them so many times and am going to take them for Thanksgiving today for a GF option as well as the recipe to show them the pure ingredients. So glad I found this website! Happy Thanksgiving!

Hi! I made my own almond flour for this, however, the almonds were with skin still so it almost came out more like almond butter. Will my brownies be ok if I still use it? Might be a little grainy but I’m sure Ill have no problem eating them…lol

    • replied:

Hi Jenn! I’d make sure the almond flour is actually flour-like so that the brownies bake up with the right consistency. Let me know how it goes!

Made these this evening & was so pleasantly surprised how they came out! They were pitch black and looked like tar (lol) when I pulled them out of the oven which was a little nerve-racking, but they were absolutely delicious! Mine were still super raw in the center after 20 min, so I let them cook an extra 15 and they were perfectly moist and fluffy. These are almost more like a fluffy cake than a super fudge brownie but wow are they delicious! A lot of times “healthy” versions of things turn out a bit dense and grainy, but these are legitimately just like a regular old brownie! I also liked how the ingredients were all pretty basic things I had on hand and the recipe didn’t require you to blend, puree, or get out any extra equipment– perfect for a lazy college student haha! Thank you for this great recipe, I’ll definitely be making these again in a few days when I finish this batch 🙂

Made these last night, completely cooled them down and stored in the fridge overnight (we have a hot month here in NJ). Absolutely delicious and you’re 100% right – they are better when chilled. I’m making a bigger batch next time… in love.

    • replied:

Omg yesss the best way to eat them! We’ve had a hot couple of months here in Chicago too – I’ll have to make a new batch of these.

  • says:

I’m not a big fan of baking with pumpkin, but my oh my all this chocolate makes them look way too good! I’ll definitely add these to my list!

    • replied:

YES the chocolate in here is so, so good! Enjoy!
