The only problem with this recipe, is that it was so good I had to order more muffin tins so I can make bigger batches!! This came together so fast and easy. I used the same pot for the chocolate, so it was like 2 dishes. My toddler loves them, and I feel great about giving them to her since they are quite healthy. Looking forward to making some big batches for postpartum! Storing them short term in the fridge worked perfectly for us. Thanks for sharing such a great recipe!

Made these for my ten-year-old who is definitely in a growth spurt and I’m so glad they have kept him fuller. Used Trader Joe’s “High Fiber Cereal” and added hemp seeds, flax seeds and dried cranberries. Will try using tahini in place of peanut butter next batch so he can take them to school as a snack.

      Perfect! So glad he enjoyed!

I’ve been following you and making your recipes for years and they are always a hit! This is my first time making these cereal bars and WOW! I brought them to work and won over my two extremely picky co-workers (who don’t usually buy into healthier snacks). So easy to make, so delicious and I feel good about sharing them!

These are incredible! So simple to make and absolutely delicious! Every time someone has tried one, they’ve asked for the recipe and I send them this link! This one is definitely on a regular rotation in our house!

too much peanut butter and is more unhealthy than a reese’s cup

    • replied:

Sorry to hear you didn’t love these! With only 1/3 cup maple syrup I find these to be much more nutritious than a Reese’s, but everyone’s definition of “healthy” is different.

I don’t think i have ever posted on a recipe but these are definitely worth it. I used cinnamon Lovebird cereal and added in 2 scoops of protein powder as mine was a little runny and they turned out perfect and delicious. I’m 8 weeks pregnant and craving all the sweets so this was perfect for me!

These were delicious! I used some seven sundays maple oat cereal that we had in the pantry. Such a great recipe and my little guys had fun helping out the chocolate over the cereal mix!

This is one of the best snacks/treats I’ve made for my kiddos. They are nothing short of delicious, and my husband and I enjoy them just as much as the kids do! They are a go to and staple in my household because they’re also super easy to make. I use Farm Girl cereal in this recipe, so it adds even more protein also. Definitely need more recipes like this!!!

We don’t have Three Wishes in the UK so I used regular cornflakes and omg SO GOOD. Need to have a stash in my freezer at all times now. Going to try with cheerios next.

These look great! I’m reluctant to make them because I want to transport them across country. Will these hold up in room temperature for days?

    • replied:

Hmmm for multiple days they’ll likely get a bit too soft and the chocolate may melt!

I followed the recipe exactly as written and they turned out great. They’re so cute and they’re a perfect little snack! It was difficult to spread the chocolate evenly. I couldn’t really get it over the edges, but it was fine.

I found these to be very sweet even with scaling back the maple syrup slightly to 1/4c. I used HU 70% chocolate for a topping as directed,, along with flaked sea salt, I bet this would be great for a sweet tooth or using a less sweet cereal as a base might be better for those that don’t love the aftertaste of monk fruit. (I used Three Wishes Cinnamon.) Thanks for the recipe.

These came in handy when I had a sweet tooth but wanted a healthier alternative. I used what I had on hand and the results were delicious:

–The cereal was my favorite, Nature’s Path Mesa Sunrise. It’s gluten-free and keeps its crunch even after being drenched in the hot mixture.
–I used almond butter since I can’t do peanuts
–I used half the amount of maple syrup and it was plenty sweet
–Mixed in Enjoy Life mini chocolate chips (instead of the chocolate layer)
–Sprinled himalayan pink salt over the top.

I poured (dumped) the whole thing into a coconu-oil-greased pie plate. After it froze I chopped it up like brittle and kept it in the freezer, grabbing bits when I wanted a dessert.

I just made these for Halloween and they’re SO good and easy. I used the plain Three Wishes cereal and did just 3 TBSP of sweetener and they came out great and sweet enough for me. Salty, sweet, crunchy, chocolatey, peanut buttery—gang’s all here. Thanks for yet another perfect treat, Monique!

YUM! I made these this morning. I did add two scoops of Vital Proteins collagen protein powder and 1 T of Inulin to boost protein and fiber further. These are like a candy bar and I do not say that lightly,

AK does not miss! These cereal cups are amazing. I made with cinnamon Cheerios and they did not disappoint. Super easy to pull together. I will be making these again as soon as my current batch is gone (:
