Hello hello! We made it to Friday. Let’s start the day with a good breakfast and end it with an even better dessert.
This week was tiring. I tested several recipes and they MAJORLY FAILED. This happens sometimes. The annoying part is that I have to remake them until they’re worthy of being on the blog. The upside is that Tony continues to eat everything and anything. Bless him. He also bought me flowers and made delicious gnocchi with a red wine spicy meat sauce last night. He’s just the best.
What else?! I saw Spotlight last weekend and LOVED it. I don’t know about you, but I feel like Mark Ruffalo is such a sweet man in real life. I know for certain that if we ever meet, we’ll be besties.
Ok, enough weird celebrity chat though. This weekend I’m headed to the CIA in Napa Valley. Not the government CIA, the actual Culinary Institute of America! SO freaking excited to hang and eat all the food. After that I’m headed to General Mills in Minnesota. Follow my adventures on Snapchat (username: ambitiouskitch) and Instagram!
No more small talk. Let’s get to the good stuff from this past week:
Healthy muffins! With avocado! And Chocolate! So much YES.
I bought this kitchen runner! Love the colors.
My friend Andie is coming out with a new cookbook. She’s the best human and you should pre-order!
This pizza is calling to my soul. Seriously, I would marry this pizza.
QUINOA PIZZA BOWLS. Guess I’m in the mood for pizza things?
Been loving this charcoal mask. My face has been unbelievably clear.
Get fancy with this AMAZING bruschetta bar for game day. Just gorgeous.
PALEO PUMPKIN PIE FUDGE. My life is now complete.Â
People are going nuts over my healthy turkey chili. You should probably make it too!
Guess what’s FREE in Canada this year?
An interesting article on the new dietary guidelines. What are your thoughts?
Have a wonderful weekend. xo!

You may have had some failures this week but I have made your Healthy Blueberry Muffins four times since you posted it! They are delicious and I just sent a batch to my son in college. I’m hoping he gets the box today because it has the muffins, hot chocolate mix, oranges from our orchard-he’s in Virginia and is expected to get hit with the big snow blizzard. I will find comfort knowing he has muffins, fruit and something hot to drink! Thanks for all the great recipes. Will make your turkey chili this weekend as I love the turkey chili I typically make-will compare the two!
That’s so amazing to hear, Mary! Makes me want to bake them again!
Quinoa pizza bowls?!?! UGH, you just made my day!
yesss to weekend favorites! Those muffins and that mask! going to have to try them both out!!!
Regarding the new dietary guidelines, I’ll trust a scientist over a politician or the food industry any day. http://www.bengreenfieldfitness.com/2012/01/why-the-food-pyramid-is-wrong/
PS – Canadian parks are free next year – Canada’s 150th birthday. Hope you’ll come visit us!
Thanks for including me gorgeous! Also I think there’s now another excuse for you to come to Canada 😉 Shall we explore Banff NP sometime soon? I think so!
I hate those weeks! Sounds like you have a lot to look forward to though 🙂
Did you say red wine spicy meat sauce? Exactly my type!
I’m so excited for Andie’s book! Such a gorgeous and inspirational girl!
I’m so sorry about the recipe failures, that’s always so disappointing. Each failed recipe brings you one step closer to a successful one, though! I’m so happy for you about your trip to the CIA though – what an experience! I hope you have a fantastic time. xx
Thanks for the bruschetta bar love!! I’ve also been drooling over those pizza quinoa bowls!
That toast looks delicious!
