I can’t believe it’s the last weekend of July! Part of me wants to go frolic in a field of sunflowers while sunshine beams down; in one hand I’m holding a green smoothie and the other — a giant chocolate donut.
Wait a second, that sounds way too much like a Taylor Swift music video, right?
In actuality, the summer has been wonderful so far and because of that I’d like it to last forever and ever. I’ve been traveling, we bought a house (!!!) and the weather has been nearing 90 degrees daily.
Blog wise, I have so many recipe ideas right now that I don’t even know where to start. It’s probably why you’ve noticed I’ve been posting more frequently — hopefully you don’t mind! If you want to sign up to get emails directly to your inbox, you can do so here!
This weekend we’re hoping to grill up some burgers and check out the museum or local zoo. We literally walk 20,000 steps every Saturday to somewhere new and exciting. I find that Chicago is not only one of the most walkable cities, but there’s always some event happening (it’s Lolla this weekend!).
How about you? What are your plans? Anything good? Do tell!
Alright, now onto the favorites from the week — lots of fashion, home + good eats!
We just got this mattress a few months ago and absolutely love it. Finally a king bed too!
This strawberry farro salad is pure gold.
Blue lagoon smoothie in a coconut?! Amazing.
This bar cabinet is something I can get behind. Want it for my new house!
Just got this jean skirt and love how you can dress it up or down.
Want this veggie quinoa sushi right now.
Sleeper sofa inspiration! We’re doing a office/guest bedroom in our new house & don’t want to put a bed in, so sofa it is!
This beautiful buttermilk banana cake.
These suede neutral heels. Totally in love.

I need those heels!
Love your blog! I am actually going to Chicago tonight for the weekend- any must sees? Thanks!
That’s tough, it really depends if you want to do tourist things or not. If so, the Bean & Millenium Park are good. Lincoln Park zoo. Field & Art museum. Walking or riding bikes along lakeshore. Shopping on Michigan Ave. Navy Pier.
So nice to hear that you like our quinoa sushi! Thank you for sharing!
My boyfriend is at Lolla this weekend! So jealous! I hope you have an awesome weekend, I love walking to explore new places on Saturdays 🙂
Congrats on the house!!
