Happy weekend! I’m so sorry for the delay in my post — as you probably know it’s pretty rare for me to miss my Friday posts.
I hopped in a flight at 4am Thursday morning to Denver for a meeting, left that evening to fly to Kansas City so I could speak at ChoppedCon, then finally flew home Friday afternoon. Hence why I missed my weekend favorites. But here we are, just a little delayed.
Anyway, Most of you probably know that we moved into our first home just over a week ago. (It’s been a CRAZY week.) Before the move we made an effort to get rid of most of our furniture; it helped tremendously. However now I’m tasked with filling our new place with all the things! These are tough decisions but our goal is to work through one room at a time.
First we’ll be starting on our bedroom, which I’m ridiculously excited about. I plan on getting my dresser from my good friends over at MegMade. Plus I finally found a Persian rug on Etsy I love and can’t wait to show it off! Who knew redecorating was so much work (yet SO much fun!).
My favorite place to shop for unique home goods are various markets or boutiques around the city. Last week I ended up finding a vintage mid century modern table at the uptown vintage market and fell in love, but again need a rug for underneath the table! Where are your favorite places to shop for furniture?
A few things I’ve gotten so far for our bedroom:
White Linen Curtains (with a blackout liner!)
I’ll continue to update you as we collect more, and of course, share the final bedroom.
What’s happening this week:
I’m heading to the Stitch Fix headquarters (OMG!) on Tuesday! It’s going to be amazing and I’m excited to meet some bloggers outside of the food world. As you probably know, I’ve been using StitchFix for years and love it because I don’t have a lot of time to shopping. I’ve found a really wonderful stylist I’ve worked with since the beginning who basically gets what I like and don’t.
After Stitch Fix, Sarah and I are meeting up for a little girl time together in Detroit. So excited to see her.
I may have overbooked myself the past few weeks, but that’s okay — everything’s going to be so much fun.
Lastly, let’s get to my favorite links from the past week!
fudgy pumpkin pie bars. oh and they’re healthy too!
buckwheat double chocolate cookies. clearly in a baking mood over here.
cauliflower wings with a unique twist!!! OMG.
craving this cheesy chicken dip on football sunday.
oh this casserole is calling my name. because pumpkin & burrata duh.
how to tell if you need to sharpen your kitchen knives.
That’s all I’ve got for you. I’ll be back tomorrow with a delish 30 minute pasta recipe — see you then!
