Can you do this in a pressure cooker? If so, how would the cooking time differ?

    • replied:

I actually don’t have one so I’m not sure!

I made this with macs and it seemed to be done after only 10 hours. I didn’t add any sugar and I LOVED IT! I’m a huge fan of this and I’ll probably make a double batch next time!

The color is so interesting on these! I freaking love apple butter – really just to eat by the spoonful but I put it on toast so I can seem like a normal human being. I also put it in oatmeal!

    • replied:

In oatmeal sounds amazing! And yes – delish by the spoonful, too 🙂

    • replied:

How much does this recipe yield if placing apple butter in 250 ml mason jars?

    • replied:

Oh Kelli, I am SO with you- I eat it off the spoon too! And my grandmother passed on the secret of apple butter on oatmeal, god love ‘er. SSSSSOOOOOO good. This recipe sounds fab. I need to make it as soon as I am ready to stop believing it should still be summer.
I am like that with coconut butter also. I just stand in the kitchen, eating it off the spoon and growling at anyone who comes near the jar. They can get their own…

      • replied:

Apple butter on oatmeal sounds amazing!! Once summer is *officially* over you’ll have to give this one a try 🙂

  • says:

So I’ve never tried apple butter, and I think I have to fix that. But, this homemade apple butter looks absolutely delicious! I think it would work on almost everything, including that slice of toast!

Always apple picking in the fall! I never knew the true beauty of apples until I went and then came home and made ALL the apple things. I’m going to keep this recipe in my back pocket for when we go later in the season 🙂

    • replied:

The BEST part of fall! I hope you get a chance to make this 🙂

Can you process in hot bath to keep learning longer?

  • says:

Looks incredible!!! How long does it store for/how should you save it?

    • replied:

Also would like to know how to preserve & for how long. Maybe freezer?

      • replied:

You can freeze up to 3 months! Or it will last up to 1 week in the fridge 🙂

    • replied:

It will last for about 1 week in the fridge, or you can freeze it in ziploc bags for up to 3 months!
