Can you believe that it’s almost May?! What is happening and where on earth does the time go? That makes me sound like I’m much older, but seriously. We moved into our apartment in October of last year and it still feels like it was almost yesterday. I finally just finished decorating my office and now we’re starting on our bedroom. Thus I stalk Pinterest like a crazy MF.
P.S. Outside of food, I feel like I could 100% be a home/lifestyle blogger.
Moving on…
This past week: I hit up a few pizza places in preparation for my Chicago Series that I’ve been working on. People always ask me about deep dish, but there are SO many incredible pizza joints in Chicago to try outside the DD. I’ve been trying to diligently pace myself with the pizza, but damn, I’ve had a few really good slices and can’t wait to share them with you.
In an effort to balance things out, I’ve been trying to get in extra steps. I normally just use the health app on my iPhone, but would love to hear what your favorite step trackers are. I’ve heard good things about the FitBit, but realistically I’m looking for something that also has a heart rate monitor so I can track it during workouts. I’m mostly concerned with the accuracy of the wrist watches and heart rate monitors in them. I’ve heard from a few people that it can be off, but would love to hear your thoughts!
This weekend, we’re on the hunt for entryway furniture and I plan on buying a macbook for when I travel. Ever since I got my iMac, I’ve been meaning to jump on the apple laptop bandwagon! SO EXCITED.
Next week: I’m headed to Minnesota to hang out with Lee and work on a project! Other than that, I’ve been trying to keep a low profile on the travel until I’m done with a few more projects.

I am growing zucchini in my garden this year and sweet potatoes and peppers and a billion other things, so I can’t wait to try that cake and those enchiladas!
For our honeymoon we eloped, got married in Maine and traveled down the East Coast. Best stops along the way: Where we got married at the Samoset Resort and Limerock Inn in Rockport/Rockland, Maine (lobster mac n cheese and a small plane flight over the islands…need I say more?). And Boston: Sam Adams, Cheers, and Freedom Trail. The one thing I wish we had had time for was the sunset harbor cruise.
You should write more about lifestyle/home. It’s your blog..do what makes you happy, girl 🙂 Plus, I (and I’m sure many others) would love to read those posts every once and awhile!

What an exciting project. I love pizza! As far as trackers go, I have the apple watch and really enjoy using it to track my steps. There are a couple of limitations that I have noticed and can’t wait for the new watch to be released later this year. It does not have its own GPS, but uses your phones GPS and then gets smarter as you wear it more often. My favorite thing is the heart rate monitor. I find this helps me keep my intensity up in workouts and I use it as a guide during spadework and HIIT. Hope that is helpful!
