you are positively glowing <3. best luck birthing your little man. it will hurt but it's worth it. i gave birth six months ago at 38 weeks to my precious bb girl. i screamed the whole way through (especially during the crowning) but i am so glad i did it natural.

Thanks, Sara! Congrats on your little girl, too 🙂

I completely agree – what is with all of the negative birth stories! I also sought out positive stories and videos! I won’t go into my story except to say, I had an amazing natural birth and my baby girl came quick! There was lots of drama (staying at home too long and getting pulled over by the cops haha) but it’s a day I’ll always cherish! Best of luck to you and Tony! I’ve been following along on this journey with you and I’m happy for you guys. <3

I too only heard a lot of horror/negative birth stories. I was expecting the worst, but ended up with such a wonderful labor and delivery experience. I would never want to invalidate another woman’s birth experience, but I do encourage you to seek out positive stories. No matter what happens, it will be your story and you get to have all the feels about it!

Will you be sharing your birth plan(s)?

  • says:

YES to hearing positive birth stories. I’ve had 3 babies, all uncomplicated vaginal deliveries. My longest labor was 8 hours and they’ve all got progressively shorter with each baby. But all I feel like I hear is really complicated labor stories! Really long labors, moms who had cesareans and then felt like failures because of it, or women who chose to get epidurals and then felt judged for it by friends and family. While it’s good to know that those are positivities, PLENTY of women don’t have those stories and it’s good to know about those too.
