HAPPY FRIDAY! We made it, so let’s all do a happy dance a celebrate with skinny watermelon margs. Ha!
After an on-the-go week (+ laryngitis and a majorly sore throat…) I’m ready to chill out, enjoy the sun, and probably get some much-needed sleep. These last couple weeks have been super busy and SO MUCH FUN as Abra and I planned the UA x AK Workout + Brunch event at the Under Armour Brand House in downtown Chicago.
It all went down last Sunday and it was an amazing success. Most of all, it was empowering to see so many women getting their sweat on together. The strength I saw in the room went above and beyond physical appearances, so thank you to those of you who joined us!
With the entire Under Armour Brand House store cleared out, we had 40 girls come out and enjoy a 45-minute, full body workout from my trainer and friend, Kathryn Morgan, of Crosstown Fitness.
Everyone crushed burpees, push-ups, jump lunges (and many more) looking like total badasses. The playlist was bumpin’, the sweat was…SWEATY (lol), and the spirit was HIGH having all of these women together.
After the workout we had an awesome brunch + snack spread provided by our friends at Whole Foods, Rx Bar, and Real Good Juice Co. It was both amazing and humbling to meet these incredible young women. Some of them were new to the world of Ambitious Kitchen, but some of them have been making my recipes for years.
Damn, I have the best readers out there. THANKS FOR BEING THE COOLEST.
