We’re finally getting warmer, sunny days here in Chicago, and I’ve been stocking my kitchen with seasonal produce for quick, super fresh lunches and dinners.
You know I had to share my go-to, 30 seasonal recipes to cook in June to kick off the month.

What’s in season in June?
This month, be sure to stock up on:
P.S. did you know we have dedicated ingredient pages? YES! Click any of the produce names above to see all of those recipes, or head to our Recipe Index to filter by even more.
Tony and I are growing lots of veggies and herbs in our backyard, plus tons of gorgeous flowers.
These recipes are for firing up the grill, maybe laying out a picnic blanket and enjoying on your lawn or patio all month long. Some of these dinners can easily be made on the grill or stovetop, and are delicious paired with fresh salads. You know I included plenty of fun apps & treats, too.
If you try any of these recipes be sure to leave a comment below and tell me how you liked it! I’d love to know what your go-to recipes are in June and what plants you’re growing this summer, too. Enjoy, xo!

We loved the cinnamon roll recipe and will continually use your website for other great ideas :). The recipe was PERFECT! Everything turned out similar BUT even better than Cinnabon. Fresh, delish and reminded me of my childhood (when I would eat these).
Thank you,’
KC

Everything here looks spectacular! I have to try your homemade granola, vegan sweet potato burgers, and blueberry pie bars. Those were probably so fun to create!

I own so many cookbooks, but I just keep coming back to this blog.

Hopefully! Stay tuned 🙂
YAY for carrots, cabbage, cilantro, parsley, herbs, spinach, and cherries! OMG and basil. NEVER forget about basil. 😛 The kung pao chickpeas will be my first target for this!
Yessss ALL the goods here! Enjoy 🙂
I think I’m most excited about some of these fresh summer desserts! So many options 🙂
Right?! So good!!
OMGosh I want to make them all! Unfortunately, I’ve had a gastric bypass so your soups and stews work best for me. LOVE them. Lucky for me I have a monthly potluck for Singles at my amazing!!!!!! Church. Did I mention how awesome my church Is? It is amazing, wonderful, hope and joy inspiring! Wish you could come to San Antonio at some point. I’d personally take you to a Saturday or Sunday service. Your life would be forever changed. If you are in any now curious check out Pasted Ed CBC on you tube. But I digress. I took your pumpkin cornbread with another website’s slow cooker kidney bean with bacon and sausage recipe and it was a hit. Made 24 muffins came home with 3. For me that’s a huge success considering most of the folks pretend to be watching their diet since it’s a 50+ group and there is a ton of food brought in. I didn’t put out the “healthy” disclaimer. My crockpot full of bean stew was almost gone and the fact that 21 muffins were consumed made it a success for me..and you of course. So although I don’t make some of your recipes for personal consumption, they’ve always been a hit when I’ve had to come up with something for a gathering. So thank you so much for your passion and the blessing of sharing with others. You are so blessed! Love you!
Hi Joanne! Thanks so much for your note! I’m glad you’ve been loving the soups and stews on the site 🙂 Hope you find some more great recipes to share with your church!
