March is here, the days are getting longer, and we’re that much closer to spring. I’m counting down the days until I’m back riding my bike on the lakefront path, taking Sidney and Viggo to the beach, and grilling on the patio. Until then we’re kicking off the month with 31 seasonal recipes to cook in March that you’re going to love.
What’s in season in March?
Colorful produce is coming back! Pretty soon we’ll be cooking with all of the berries, but for now, be sure to stock up on:
- Asparagus
- Broccoli
- Brussels Sprouts
- Cabbage
- Carrots
- Cauliflower
- Citrus
- Greens
- Mushrooms
- Peas
- Spinach
- Sweet Potato
P.S. did you know we have dedicated ingredient pages? YES! Click any of the produce names above to see all of those recipes, or head to our Recipe Index to filter by even more.

Lovely round-up friend! Such a user friendly way to figure out what’s in season and what to cook. Plus, those wraps and cookies look BOMB 😀 😀 😀
Thanks Dana! Absolutely. The wraps + cookies are LIFE <3 <3
I have just discovered you and love the look of your recipes
Great! Hope you find some that you love 🙂
Nothing beats a spring menu than recipes with fresh fruit and simplistic vegetables! I definitely need to make a vegan carrot cake, lemon blueberry pancakes, and a spring green curry. Just give me a whole platter of those chickpea salad wraps and I’d be the happiest gal in the world!!
Absolutely!! And love those salad wraps. SO GOOD.
Hi Monique! I have been following your site and making your recipes for several months now. I am enjoying your content and love that you are a fellow Chicago gal. Help! I have a TreeNut (includes coconut) and peanut allergy and want to keep making your recipes. When appropriate, can you make suggestions for the best flour, oil, etc that isn’t nut based? Us allergy gals like to be healthy too!
I love all your recipes and your beautiful pictures. I tried many of them and all were a success. We are moving to plant based diet so those you post with that focus are so appreciated. Keep them coming!
So happy to hear that! Hope you keep finding recipes here that you love 🙂
