As you guys know, I have major love for tahini and will probably find any excuse to include it in a recipe. I first fell in love with the incredible spread when I took a trip to the Middle East a few years ago. Gorgeous vintage rugs + endless amounts of tahini = HEAVEN.
What is tahini?
Tahini is sesame seeds ground into a creamy, earthy, slightly bitter, slightly sweet paste that has the texture of natural nut butter. The flavor is mild and perfect for adding spices and herbs for a savory sauce or dip.
Can you bake with tahini?
YES! I personally love to bake with it because it keeps desserts super moist without adding too much of a nut butter flavor. Because tahini is made from sesame seeds it’s perfect for keeping recipes nut-free and allergy friendly. AKA tahini brownies for everyone.

The turmeric chicken meatballs were so tasty! Served with sauteed shaved Brussel sprouts instead of spinach.
