I read somewhere that coconut flour can be used to thicken sauces and gravies. Have you used it for these purposes and if so how did it work?
I haven’t tried any of your recipes yet, I just found your site, but the ones I have tried I haven’t loved. Too eggy and squishy.
I want to love it because I like coconut and coconut flour is so much more economical than the other grain free options.

You can definitely use it for that purpose, but I recommend sifting first so that it isn’t lumpy. Also, use a little at a time as coconut flour is very absorbent compared to regular flour. I hope you find some more coconut flour recipes you like!

I was really disappointed that every recipe I opened called for eggs. Your site came up when I typed “Vegan coconut flour recipes” in the search bar. While I am not a vegan, I am highly sensitive to eggs so your site is not a good source for me.

Hi! I have many different vegan categories that you can check out as well 🙂 feel free to start with my main Vegan category here: https://www.ambitiouskitchen.com/vegan-recipes/ and from there you can refine by breakfast, lunches, dinners, etc. 🙂

I’m embarrassed to say I’ve never used coconut flour – I honestly didn’t realize it was so versatile and thought it was more of a specialty item. This is a great round up!

It’s a fun, different flour to bake with! I usually combine it with almond flour to make yummy gluten-free/paleo desserts 🙂 You’ll have to give a few of these a shot!
